2008 IASCA Sound-Off Competition Formats
AMATEUR SQC – Sound Quality Competition; For Amateurs only. The competitor will be judged in sound quality only, using one judge from the driver seat. Each competitor will be judged twice and the scores added together. There is only one category. Awards 1st -5th Place
ISQC – Sound Quality Competition: Open to both Amateurs and Professionals. The competitor will be judged in sound quality only using two judges in the driver and passenger seats. Each competitor will be judged twice and the scores added together. There is only one category. Awards 1st-5th Place
ULTIMATE IASCA SOUND OFF – Sound Quality/Installation/RTA & SPL: Open to both Amateurs and Professionals. Each competitor will be judged in sound, install, RTA, and SPL. The competitor will be judged in sound quality, installation, RTA and SPL. Two judges will be used in sound; driver and passenger seats.
IASCA IdBL/SPL – Sound Pressure Level: Competitors will test how loud their vehicles are. There will be six different categories.
- Stock 1- 1 to 160 sq. inches or 2 10” subwoofers
- Stock 2- 161 to 260 sq. inches or 2 12” subwoofers
- Stock 3- 261 inches & up or 2 15” subwoofers or more
- Advanced 1- 1 to 260 sq. inches or 2 15” subwoofers
- Advanced 2- 261 inches & up or more than 2 15” subwoofers
- Advanced Open: For competitors who do not make the requirements of the other divisions.
- NEW FORMAT dB-SQC – Sound Pressure Level and Tonal Accuracy sound quality competition
This will be a brand new format introduced at your event. Each competitor will be judged in Tonal Accuracy on a 1 to 10 point scale and then test their SPL. The judges’ notes will be given to the competitors and then they will have time to adjust their systems and complete the judging once more. Their highest Sound Tonal Accuracy score and SPL will be added together to determine the winner.
